RealOpt© CRC is a simulation and optimization program developed by CDC and the Georgia Institute of Technology that allows emergency planners to:

- Assess resources and determine minimum needs to conduct population monitoring in the CRC.
- Determine optimal labor and instrumentation resources for the CRC.
- Determine the most efficient placement of staff throughout the CRC.
