The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) hosted the “Radiation Emergencies Public Health Roundtable: The Role of Poison Centers” in Atlanta Georgia on August 27-28, 2012. The goal was to bring together poison control professionals from across the country for a training session and discussion about current and future poison center roles in radiological/nuclear preparedness and response.
